These meat ‘n’ crumb-coated eggs are currently making a massive comeback, with Heston Blumenthal even making his own paprika version.

6. Cheese fondue

Fondue: the meal that is delicious and fun, but capable of causing many a family argument as the battle of the dunk begins. We love dipping charred bread, chunks of apple and radish into melted gruyere and emmenthal.

7. Crepes Suzette

This orangey, boozy French dessert was apparently created by mistake by a Parisian waiter serving a crepe to the then-Prince of Wales. You’ll still find it on many French restaurant menus!

9. Dip with melba toasts

Melba toasts and smoked trout could be found in many a pantry and fridge back in the 90s. We love this modern version of the old school combo.

We’re not surprised chicken stuffed with garlic butter, covered in breadcrumbs and baked until golden and melty became popular. We still think it’s a winner!
