2-Ingredient Dough Recipes between 1-5 WW Smart Points - Meal Planning Mommies (1)

Yesterday I shared a recipe that used the super uber famous 2-ingredient dough. Today I want to share a list of more great recipes that also use that same special Weight Watchers friendly dough. I have found 20 recipes that I think you will love! But before we get to the recipes, let’s talk about this dough for a second.

In case if you missed it, 2-ingredient dough is a simple concept of mixing equal parts self-rising flour and non-fat Greek yogurt and then baking the dough.

Because non-fat Greek yogurt became zero points when Weight Watchers rolled out their new FreeStyle program in December 2017, the dough had everyone talking in January of this year. It became the perfect solution for people on the Weight Watchers program who loved bread but felt like they couldn’t eat it and stay within their points. Since January, this concept has gone viral.

So, for real, this dough actually made the news on more than one occasion. Even Food Network and Cooking Light were talking about this dough! Everyone was talking about it.

The first time I heard of the dough was on a Facebook group. Every day for about a month there was someone getting on the Facebook group asking for the recipe. After about the 20th request for the link to the recipe on the group I finally decided to give it a try.

I made 2-ingredient dough bagels because it seemed easiest. I liked it, but my husband was not impressed. I should mention here that, generally speaking, I am a fan of bagels and he is not, so this should not come as a surprise to anyone.

Having said that, I know that some people simply aren’t a fan of eating 2-ingredient dough because of the sour taste from the Greek yogurt that still comes through. This was the case with my friend…

The other day a friend of mine who had recently joined Weight Watchers asked me if I tried many recipes that used the 2-ingredient dough. She wasn’t a huge fan of the bagels but was curious if there was something else out there that she should try. The truth was I had only tried a couple recipes that used the dough, but it just happened to be in my plans to make the “Twirly Italian Sub Breadsticks” that used the 2-ingredient dough that same week that she asked. (I love when that happens)

After making the recipe, I got curious and started a hunt to find what other recipes were out there. I wanted to create a space on the blog that answers my friend’s question, “What good Weight Watchers recipes are out there that use the 2-ingredient dough?” Because the dough is super uber famous now it can be tricky finding the places online that share the Smart Points with their recipes.

Over the past several months I have seen lots of variations of the classic 2-ingredient dough on Pinterest. Some of these recipes might surprise you! 2-Ingredient dough Pop Tarts and funnel cakes? Who knew?! Skim through this list and see if there isn’t one you might want to try this week!
