5 Tips for your next visit to Magnolia Market at the Silos

I’ve been wanting to visit Magnolia for years and I finally had a chance to visit Waco for the first time while working withWaco Chamber. I knew I had to add a visit to Magnolia Market to my itinerary.

As you all know Magnolia Market is one of the most visited sites in Waco. So I want to share 5 tips for your next visit toMagnolia Marketat the Silos to know before you go! I’ll be sharing tips and tricks I wish I knew before my trip!

If you are looking for more things to do in Waco be sure to check out my blog post here for a 3 day Itinerary.

1) Make a reservation for Magnolia Table

Not many people know that you can actually make a reservation for Magnolia Table if you visit Monday-Thursday. I highly recommend to make one as soon as possible, make your reservationhere. To be honest I didn’t even know we could make reservations until after our trip!

Be sure to note that bookings can be made for Mondays thru Thursdays up to 30 days in advance and not within 24 hours of the next available reservation date.

Speaking of Magnolia Table, y’all HAVE to get Jo’s Buttermilk Biscuits with the butter flight and the Pancake Breakfast, TRUST ME! Watch the videohereto see how amazing it looked!

2) Visit early in the morning

This one is obviously a no brainer. Be sure to get there early, because there aren’t that many people who decide to wake up early on vacation.

If you don’t happen to be visiting Magnolia Table on a Monday- Thursday or didn’t get to make a reservation then I recommend to get there right when they open at 7AM.

My friend and I couldn’t wake up SO early but we arrived at 7:45AM on a Monday. We put our names down, told them any seating was fine (highly recommend this), and they said the wait time would be 45 minutes. Then, we walked over to the Takeaway + Market area for coffee and pastries.15 minutes later, we get a text saying our table is ready!

Although, I do have to note that the bar seating was not too comfortable and faced the takeaway area, so it was awkward BUT we didn’t wait too long!

3) Go during the weekday

If you are able to travel during the week I highly recommend doing so. You will have shorter lines, less people, and a much better experience.

Although, I will say Monday and Fridays were still quite busy as I understand people like to do long weekends.

We visited Magnolia Press on a Tuesday morning around 10AM and it was about a 20 minute wait from waiting in line to getting my coffee and food. I tried the Bacon Cheddar Bake Duo which is pretty much egg bites and they were SO good! We also didn’t have any issues with indoor or outdoor seating.

4) Visit the Silos Baking Co right before closing

All day we looked at the line for cupcakes and it was incredibly long! The trick is to line up 30 mins to an hour before closing and the line will be WAY shorter. We lined up at 5:30pm and waited less than 10 minutes to get our cupcakes.

I will say that I absolutely LOVE sweets but yet I thought the cupcakes were SUPER sweet. My favorite one that wasn’t too over powering was the Strawberries ‘N Cream!

5) Plan ahead!

Knowing that Magnolia draws in about 2M visitors a year to Waco, Texas, there will always be tourists at Magnolia Market. Do not have expectations that no one will be in your picture, that you won’t have to wait in line, or that you will have it all to yourself.

Plan ahead the things that are a MUST on your to do list but also be prepared to switch up your plans if the lines are too long at one spot. For example, plan to roam around the shops, go into the chapel, browse the food trucks and explore the ballpark! Honestly, plan almost a complete day to explore!

But most importantly, have fun! Take a lot of pictures and enjoy all the amazing food and amazing things that Magnolia offers!

I hope you found these 5 tips for your next visit to Magnolia Market helpful in planning your trip!
