COOKED PLAYDOUGH

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup salt
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Liquid food colouring
  • 1 tbsp canola oil

Directions

  1. Combine flour, salt and cream of tartar in a bowl; set aside.
  2. Combine water and food colouring in a medium non-reactive saucepan.
  3. Add flour mixture and oil; stir to combine. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 2 – 3 minutes.
  4. Turn dough out onto a clean surface. Knead dough until smooth, about 1 minute. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
