One way or another, players always find themselves needing more gold. Whether they are working on a new Legendary weapon, or trying to acquire a new and expensive mount, there will always come a time that calls for farming some extra resources.

Whatever the project may be, there are numerous ways to gather the much-needed coins and materials. Guild Wars 2 allows for a variety of activities, for both the PvP and PvE enjoyers. Regardless of what the chosen method ends up being, it is important to note that there are multiple great buffs to use while farming, from extra Magic and Gold Find to increased gathering bonuses and even harvest speed.
10 Selling Resources
Depending on how long the player has been playing, they may already have acquired a long list of expensive materials that they are not even aware of. In cases where someone could use some extra gold on hand, it is always a good idea to check one’s bank for the more expensive marketable materials.
It is important to check whether the sellable materials in question will be needed to craft the very thing they are working on, otherwise, this method would simply help them on the next step but do nothing to help the overall progress.
9 World Bosses
The World Boss train is a great thing to regularly engage with. The entire process takes a little longer than an hour and can yield great results and income. It is still a popular farming method, so there will always be other players to help fight the massive enemies.

If someone isn’t too keen on fighting every single World Boss, there are still singular high-yielding bosses that are worth killing once per day. Tequatl has the best possible loot out of all the others and takes around 15 minutes to defeat.
8 Octovine
Taking place in Auric Basin, Octovine is a great Meta that can be farmed multiple times a day, albeit with smaller yields after the first time. It is a quick and easy event that rarely fails, although it does require a lot of players, so best join the map in advance to ensure a good spot.
After the four mini-events and bosses are defeated, the players are given access to a massive underground facility, full to the brim with chests that contain gold, resources, and a small chance of a very expensive infusion. The chests require Exalted Keys, which can be purchased from local vendors.
7 Daily Achievements
Daily Achievements encompass a lot of areas, from Fractals to Dungeons and PvP. There are decent rewards for completing each category, as well as completing the simple Daily 3 tasks which could take a few minutes to complete, and reward the player with 2 gold pieces and some Spirit Shards.

It is also important to note that the act of simply logging in daily will reward the player with expensive items over time, such as mystic coins and rare materials, which makes logging in even for a minute worth it.
Dragonfall Meta is a fun way to do a lot of quests and events all over the map, with a massive boss fight at the end of it. The income comes from the many mobs that are being killed all over the place, as well as many small and big events that occur during the Meta.
If players are unsure where to begin, there are usually a number of Commanders on the map with their visible icons, leading groups of players in chain events. The map is oftentimes divided into sections, with groups of players clearing each important route.
5 Dragon's End Meta
Dragon’s End is notorious for its high difficulty, requiring players to coordinate their efforts, oftentimes under the banner of a single commander. There are many chain events along the three routes to the final boss, from simple escort quests to mini-bosses and large groups of enemies.

The most difficult part is the final Boss itself, which requires a good DPS output from the participating players, as well as coordination during the many dangerous phases. But upon succeeding, the players are rewarded with a large collection of differently tiered chests, giving more rewards to the players that have contributed the most during the entire meta.
4 Silverwaste Farm - RIBA
RIBA has been a popular farming method for a long time, yielding great results and high gold per hour. The general idea is to rotate between the four forts in Silverwastes: Red Rock Bastion, Indigo Cave, Blue Oasis, and Amber Sandfall, thus giving the farming spot its name.
The players must continuously protect the four forts, and tag the local mobs and events to keep getting the rewards for them. After a cycle is finished, players gather themselves to travel all over the map to dig up treasures with the collected or bought Shovels.
3 Strikes
Strikes are an end-game activity for 10 players, with many considering them as an easier version of Raids. The rewards for Strikes reset daily, each of them giving anywhere from 2 to 5 gold pieces for completion. Each Strike takes around 10-15 minutes to complete, depending on the players’ gear and DPS output.

There are many players hosting daily Strike runs that range from doing just a single one to completing most of the available ones. This is a more challenging game mode than the previous entries, and players are encouraged to join training runs to begin their journey.
2 Raids
Raids present some of the most challenging encounters Guild Wars 2 has to offer. Ten players must coordinate themselves to defeat a series of bosses, all of them having their own prerequisite encounter. The unique part about the Raids is that their rewards can only be received once per week.
Raids can give players upwards of 10 gold per run, as well as late-game Weapons and Armor, and rare and expensive items and materials. Raids can be very intimidating for newer players, but many guilds host weekly Training Runs for players to get to know the system and the challenges while explaining and helping with the mechanics.
1 Fractals
Fractals are a unique spin on Dungeons, having 100 different levels, spread across 4 tiers of difficulty. Every day there is a new set of Fractals that yield extra rewards for the players. As a result, players can get a lot of Fractal Encryptions, and either open them with acquired or bought Fractal Encryption Keys, or directly sell them on the marketplace.
This is great end-game content that eases players in by having different levels of difficulty. The first tier requires no extra gear or Agony Resistance while showing most of the upcoming mechanics and challenges, and rewarding those that go all the way to the most difficult levels with great loot.
Guild Wars 2 is available on PC.
