“Hi there Heather,
There are no height restrictions on Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion, and both can accommodate lap-riding children. While your son may be permitted to ride, you might also consider whether either of these two attractions are a bit too frightening for him. Both take place in very dimly lit surroundings. Pirates has a short "drop" at the beginning of the attraction. (It's nothing like a roller coaster, but can be a bit frightening for small kids.) During the Haunted Mansion a "ghost" rides along inside your car (with the help of a special mirror). When my kids were very young, my youngest son loved both of these attractions, while my oldest was a bit frightened. If your little guy doesn't scare easily, he'll probably be fine on both, but if he is more cautious, you might want to skip these for a repeat visit when he's a bit older.
