Recipe for Sausage Balls
- 1 lb. bulk sausage (I like the hot, but regular works too)
- 1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2-3 cups Bisquick
Mix sausage & cheese together. Mix in biscuit mix and knead until thoroughly combined. (Get your hands in it and get messy. It's too hard to do with a spoon.) Roll into 1-inch balls. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
According the recipe: Dough mixture can be mixed and frozen until needed.
Maybe I should have read the recipe before asking you guys to help. Oh well!
ETA: I changed the amount of Bisquick. 3 1/2 cups made them way too dry. I also used an entire pound of cheese.
