Is Scizor actually better than Scyther? ›

Since its in-game, anything works really so just go with your favorites. Scyther has more weaknesses and lower Attack, but is much faster than Scizor. Scizor has a great attack stat, and really good typing (he's only weak to Fire, even though it's a 4x weakness), but he's slower.

It evolves from Scyther (who's also really cool.) Because it's a Bug and Steel type, it only has one weakness: fire. Since fire-types are rare in the early game, he's an asset if you manage to snag a Scyther early on. Its stats are also incredible, possessing a 130 Attack stat and a solid 100 Defense stat.
